If I don't dry my wheels off after every time I wash them they do this where the water settles...

Pressure washing won't take it off so I bought some acid stuff a while back and it worKS GREAT but it gets annoying having to do this every time I forget to dry the wheels. I first bought the acid after it looked like my wheels were rusting and it took that off also.

My question is do all aluminum wheels stain like this or am I doing something wrong? What about the forged race lines or trail readys? I'm thinking about cleaning them really really good once and having them clear coated. Thoughts?

I will be buying some of that cleaner. I'm really disappointed in my racelines. I gues I just assumed when you pay that much they would have clear coat or some **** on them. I left mud on mine about a week before I had time to clean them and I about stroked out when I seen what they looked like. I spent about an hr per wheel with mothers before they ever came half ass clean.

That stuff is a miracle in a bottle but I'd rather not have to do it to begin with. I'm either going to clear coat it or find a wheel that doesn't do it. I get it at Car Quest.

My experience of years and years and years and years of tractor-trailer work, yes. The aluminum 22.5's hold water like a fat girl and stain just like that. Thats part of the reason they have to polish them often.

Haha I don't either. Spray on spray off for me. My daily driver literally has tree sap stains aaallll over it. I might presume wash it one day...
