Buddy of mine just paid off his truck and now wants to lift it about 3-4". I have no clue regarding whats a good brand, what to stay away from, and the difficulty of the install. Any suggestions?

Theres so much support in the aftermarket for lifts on the Ram. If you are looking for quality and a "complete lift kit" look at Fabtech. They are on top of their game when in come to IFS lift kits.

I second the Fabtech motion.

I have installed 2 of their kits. One, they are complete. Two, they are beefcake. You do get what you pay for.

I agree /w Fabtech on the IFS comment. He didn't mention what year the dodge was though, so it isn't necessarily IFS. On the solid axle coil spring setups, lots of people have been happy /w the Skyjacker stuff.

Fabtech makes great lifts. Yes you may pay a little more but its well worth it. I've installed a couple of the Fabtech lifts on the new 1500 IFS trucks at work and they went together pretty easy. The other brand we usally use in Tuff Country and they are also a fairly decent lift.
