That's dumb
Not real Technical, but I thought I would share since some of us have Dodges here on the board. I've had my truck for about 1 1/2 years now and have lately been hearing a popping noise whenever I drop off a curb. My boss just got back from a show and I was telling him that something was wrong with the front end of my truck. I have a Truxxx brand leveling kit on it, put it on there when I bought the truck. He told me that the Rep. for Suspension Maxx was at the show and what I just described to him was the swaybar end links. I told him sounds good to me I'll try some new ones since they're not too much money. The problem is the factory units are too small. At least that is what he is telling me. Well today I got them in and installed them. We'll see if that is the cure for my thud. Anywho here are some pics.
My truck 04 Dodge 2500 4x4 CTD w/35" Toyo Open Country MTs
Here are the Sway bar end Links from Suspension Maxx
Old ones on that truck (they have already been loosened a little)
Stock vs. Suspension Maxx
Had to drill out the mounting hole in the axle to 15/32 although it said 29/64. They were already 29/64 and the end link would not go throught the hole.
Passenger side Shot installed
Driver Side Installed
Now here is something I had never thought about before. In the instructions it said to "with vehicle on the ground, loosen up sway bar frame bushings and adjust the swaybar untill the angle is the same on both passenger and driver side." Dont know why I have never thought about it, and have never read it in any instructions for any type of leveling kit. Something I will do from now on though. Well here is what I got.
I know that this is not hard core or anything just thought it might be informative.
