Drag Brake

So i've been reading up on this thing called drag brake as it seems that when i swapped out motors the other night to test things i lost my drag brake. I have a Traxxas XL5 ESC and a stock Axial motor in there right now. I just reset my ESC to stock settings per Traxxas instructions, thinking that would solve the issue, it did however resolve some responsiveness issues. But now on a 30* incline the car wants to roll back and before it wouldnt at a 60-70* incline( same thing happens on a decline). I cant remember what the othe rmotor is off the top of my head though.... Any suggestions?! :corn:

I dont think that ESC has a drag brake,sounds like the other motor had better magnets and brushes which would give it more rolling resistance and act more like a drag brake.

The pinion and spur gear could have been meshing a little too tightly and causing resistance.

X2 on the magnets. xl5 brakes suck to begin with and theres no drag brake.

well i have the stock axial ESC i could try that maybe!?!

The spur gears weren't too tight, i had checked those.
