I am running the older rc4wd R2 tranny w/o the disconn. The allen screws are not holding the shaft to the shaft coming out of the tranny or the axle....so I did what anyone would do...glue. But being the person I am I want to do it right, could someone please link me what they have used that wont pop off after about 4 min of running.

You need to drill a small hole through output shaft on the trans so you can use a set screw that can pass through the hole you would drill. Traxxas has those set screws, they are used on the new Rustlers, Stampedes, Bandits.

which set screws are we talking about, my main problem comes from the axle side of te drive shaft, is the problem resolve the same way?

The set screws that hold the rear shafts onto the transmission. If it is a newer Rustler it will have the pass through type set screws. You will see what to do once you look at the Rustler.

Ordered a new set of drive shafts, they come with the set screws already. Also picked up a new High Torque servo (metals gears as well ). I appreciate the info.:awesomework: I am going to drill the holes today and see if I can improve on what I am currently working with. Next up is educating myself on the construction of a new 6 cell NiMH battery back for it, this of course is going to involve me dissecting a current 6 cell pack and trying to configure it and shrink wrap it into shape. After that..its time to find a place to crawl on some rocks.:cheer:
