So I just picked up the 4x4 suburban for parts on my 2wd one, question is, now debating converting my 2wd to 4wd. The 4x4 is 1981 the 2wd 1991, anyone do this conversion? My 2wd is much nicer and always wanted a lifted burban . What about a body swap. Pretty sure all chevy burbs up to 91have the same body mounts. Are the frames the same is what I'm worried about. Spring hanger mounts etc,Just curious to see if someone has tried this? You would think all brackets and such would swap right over. Any thoughts?
