Likely you bottomed the driveshaft on something and with it being thickwall it didnt bend or flex and whamo, you got a crack at the stressriser. of the male side neckdown on the slip. Only a matter of time until "Big Boom", see you found it this weekend though. Sucks but thats what metal does when it cant absorb the shock. Not the builders fault at all. Not your fault either. I blame the rock that slammed it.
