Bones
That Guy
I have been thinking about this for a while now and seriously plan to start finding axles, gears, lockers, suspension, etc.
Here is how I think I should do it for my area and uses. Tire size is 33, maybe a 35"
Links and coils/shocks on all 4 corners (cheap). I think air shocks will no do well in the cold here and we get a **** ton of salt that I assume would not be good for them. 3/4" rod ends would be plenty. Not looking for super fly flex. 10" shocks/airs would be plenty. It has a boxed frame so it should not be too tough other than tight spaces in the rear since the tank is out back like a jeep.
Toyota axles even though I hate their messy innards. 5.29's and an ARB'd rear. Not opposed to D44's either. cheaper I think???
No Tcase mods
F/R bumpers, gas tank skiddy and sliders might all get bought from http://www.shrockworks.com/ on down the road or have someone build them as I have no desire to fab **** anymore.
Million dollar question. Could this be done in a weekend? I bring all the hard parts. Thinking of having Kelly do it when the time comes and if I can afford his rates. ;D I can trailer the bike down and ride back and leave the bitch in KS for as long as it's needed also. I rarely drive it in the summer.
