I bought a welding lead on oct 26 and paid then after I won it. I mailed the guy 4 days later asking when it would ship and he replied with "Dear freaknutter,

I WILL BE SHIPPING OUT TODAY AND WILL EMAIL YOU THE TRACKING INFO

on november 1st. I have mailed a couple times since then. how much time to I have to file a grievance before my money is gone because of lack of action? anyone have experience with this?

How did you pay, paypal, check or money order? You can should be able to file a complaint since he has not even acknowledged shipping yet. The times I have done it were through paypal and not ebay.

if paypal you have 30 days to file. Doesn't mean you'll get a dime back even if they settle in your favor.

its 30 days with any transaction. I had an ordeal with a company one time when I bought a cb antenna and stuff. I asked admin on ebay and they said I had to give them 30 days before I could file a complaint, BUT you can get his info by going to a certain area and typing in your transaction and all that and it will give you his contact number so you can call and talk to him cause thats what I did and the problem was solved. I'll have to go back to the ebay site to remember exactly where you go.

Well I got on there and cant exactly remember how to get to that area where they email you his contact info but just go into the forums and search for looking up sellers contact info or somthing like that and you should find it. HTH :drinkers:

yep, so I have like a week before I need to get on paypal and do something. I might just do it now, that sucks. my welder is still down, birds nests every time I hit the trigger. I'm waiting on this for several projects and now this dunno

zr, thanks, I'll look into it.

Just flush it and forget it.... Personal experience $400 bucks worth :'(

i had two dispute on sportbike parts.. if they cant contact the person they will give you the money back , but if they contact the person and there is still no coop then i think youre screwed i lost 208$ on paypal.

Okay, so I blew this guy's phone up. I went into ebay like someone said above, went to conflict resolution, got his number and sent mail after mail after mail to him. during the day when I had my phone in my hand I would call his number and let it ring until the operator says "sorry, you party is not answering" I am pretty sure its his phone because the first day I called it picked up after a ring and then you heard some talking in the background and then a click......then busy for 2-3 minutes. So, they got to listen to the phone ring a lot over the last week. maybe 100 calls. I never let the name get below 3rd on my recent calls list. all of the messages on ebay were professional and amicable, no threats or anything. this is even while I have ebay notified and they are dropping him emails. Okay, last night I file a claim with paypal. its actually conflict resolution, then it escalated to a claim when you take it there. I was in the process of escalating my claim today when I went to paste his reply on ebay into the claim. I opened a new tab, ebay, and low and behold, I file a claim with paypal and he suddenly responds to my messages on ebay thumb.gif weird laughing So jose had this to say for himself:

Dear freaknutter,

i apoligize i told my wife to shipp it and last nite i found it in the trunk of her car i will ship out today and e mail you back with the tracking info once again sorry

Um, yeah, wow, they're coming after my monies now, better wise up and ship the ****. What a fuggin douche. >:(

If I get my parts in good condition in the next 18 days, I won't file for my money back and wreck his feedback, etc. what a ninja. btw, this is my welding stinger on my MIG, have been without a welder over a month. killin me.

based on all this info, I need to go hunting for a guy named jose rivera in Cali that wears a size 10 cowboy boot and has a dazzling fashion sense, a penchant the odd collectible (seriously, an inflatable bowling set molaugh) drives a ford that needed a backup alarm or a celica/supra from 89 up. he like baseball on ps2 and sellswelding products.

I had the same **** happen to me when I ordered the lights for my buggy.... $185 and 3 weeks later after daily repeated attempts at contacting him by email he sends me a NASTY email back saying that I shouldn't be emailing him blah bah blah... it was some offroad shop in North Carolina or more than likely another "wanna be" online retailer that gets parts from arrow speed... Anyway... Finally got my **** over a month later. Open the product and looks like a display model. Second bad purchase on Ebay, the first bad one was my dad's FJ40 laughing
