How can Stak 4x4 close for the whole week to go jeep riding. >:( I am getting close to needing the t-case for the Commando and theres no one there to tell me if it's ready or how long. Kinda crazy being able to just shut the doors for a week. :dunno:

How can Travis afford to drive out there with diesel at $4/gallon :flipoff1: Just kidding man, have fun that is th trip of a lifetime! All the vendors shut down shop for this week.

Easy...good job w/decent pay, no wife, no kids. Diesel isn't getting any cheaper, better go now at $4/gal, rather than $5.

Shoot man, ALOT of vendors shut it down that week . Last year I was amazed at how many I would call on and they were outta pocket, some were answering there cells while on the road or trail though, that was pretty kickass. laughing1

Yep, you would be suprised how many vendors shut down for it. I talked to one last year and he was wheeling at the time he answered his phone. Now that is service. thumb.gif

You have no idea until you have been... Like Mike said... EVERYBODY is there. It's badass... I do enjoy a quiet weekend out there though.

I'd never want to bring a rig out to EJS. Friend went there that week to hike and do some mild wheeling with a friend from Idaho and said it was miserable and he never wheeled before. Assholes everywhere.

I prefer Moab on a regular weekend. Hell the 10 days I spent there was fantastic other than fighting with the ex about me going wheeling again today. laughing1

**** I forgot Bones, Hes in Iowa.

I'd love to do Moab, I know its beautiful. Hoping to take the wife and kid there in '09 with a 4 seater

X2.

Been to EJS 2 years and then a separate trip during the week to wheel in September. Way more enjoyable wheelin when it's a quiet week, but if you just wanna see some cool rigs, go to vendor show, XRRA... it's an awesome place to do the tourist thing during EJS. I went to shoot XRRA and just hung out with industry folks that I had met over the past couple years. Had an awesome time both years and wouldn't mind going back... I went rigless so I wasn't concerned about wheelin there. There's not much "extreme" wheelin' at Moab, if you want that kind of stuff then I'd suggest Montrose, CO... If it were me I'd go hit Moab for a couple scenic days and then a couple hard wheelin' days at Montrose. That's what we're planning on for our next trip out that way. Might even work some Farmington time into it since it's fairly close.

Did Moab in 06 it was ok, got pulled over twice and the second time was told to trailer it or get a ticket. I guess my rig stood out a little from the 5000 stock jeeps that were everywhere, you would think with all the money it generates they would ease up a little. The best part other that the scenery was the vendor show, it kicked ass. Also met the hot chick that is in the jeep magazine, can't remember the name of the mag but damn she was hot.
