Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant ---- to me you see
Straight up racist that sucker was
Simple and plain
Mother---- him and John Wayne
Cause I'm Black and I'm proud
I'm ready and hyped plus I'm amped
Most of my heroes don't appear on no stamps
Sample a look back you look and find
Nothing but rednecks for 400 years if you check
Don't worry be happy
Was a number one jam
Damn if I say it you can slap me right here
(Get it) lets get this party started right
Right on, c'mon
What we got to say
Power to the people no delay
To make everybody see
In order to fight the powers that be

:flipoff1:

And some claim it was the day rock and roll died. But I say thats bullshit, it was the day Buddy Holly died that counts.

None the less if it weren't for Elvis we probably wouldn't have a lot of the music that we have today as he was (his promoters were) able to open up America to accepting a different type of music.

When Elvis died there was no Walmart and K-Mart was the biggest thing in Gadsden.....I worked inside as stocker/cashier in the automotive dept. It was right next to the music area...there must have been a thousand people rush the store snatching up every Elvis album and 45 that they could get thier hands on.
