So one of the problem we had on jacks first run was a problem with stiff steering. I thought it was a problem with the steering shaft binding due to a sling angle variation. Well I got that done and started checking it out--and the damn steering would not turn at all. So started some diagnosis. The ram could slide on the pins so I knew that was not binding up. So I popped the lines loose to turn the wheels(forcing fluid out the lines) to make sure nothing was going on there. So at this point I have come up with the conclusion that something in the orbirtal has messed up. Anybody ever had this happen?

Did it always do this? Its possible that the jarader valve was drop and got a bur on it when that orbitral was put together. There isnt much clearance at all for even the littlest of bur in there. That would cause it to turn tight like there is some resistance in the wheel.

The more I am looking into it I am beggining to wonder if the NEW psc pump didn't take a dump. When this hapened I had the steering shaft off the steering wheel and was trying to turn it by hand with the engine runing--which you should be able to do.

Its not to hard to check the jarader valve. Take those 6 bolts off the end and make sure to only pull off the bolt plate and the jarader...make sure to keep the next spacer on the orbitral . Its the valve body and its possible to mess up the o ring . Thats if you dont find that its the pump.

Well temporarily put your orbital in it's place and see if it does the same thing or not :D

Ummm no....

I won't open it up if it is the problem---the vendor can send me a new one--but I am still thinking a pump issue but not 100% yet....

WHo gives a crap where PSC is located or if they are the Bk of stuff

OK, High production. Cheap labor. That was my hidden point. There are tons of documented failures with psc stuff, That was all i was trying to say. Search pirate before you say their stuff is bullet proof. Not trying to start a war, Its just what ive seen.

pitch the high pressure line off at the pump if the pump is workin it will squeal like a stuck pig ..... also check the relief valve a little spec of dirt can hang it up and no pressure i have seen that on new and reman pumps

I know its obvious but what about a slug of air in the system, those things are a pain in the ass to bleed.

depends on what system you buy and how everything is placed. My junk worked before the engine ran.

Pardon my Bunkness, But psc is the Mcdonalds of offroad steering.

I don't think anybody installs as much PSC around here as we do up at the shop, and I can honestly say I don't remember one issue with their stuff.

My PSC stuff is flawless rite outa the box.Like Naches owner bunk says
