EWOR - Thanksgiving Snow Run Report
On Saturday November 25th, 2006 we met up in Tampico with 15 rigs.
We headed up South Fork Ahtanum. We hit snow before the pavement ended.
The snow was getting deep up toward the top of Sedge Ridge. My rig could hardly break trail so Toyotawheelin took the lead.
Toyotawheelin plowed the trail for us. I still had to give the Molly Mule a workout to follow him since I only have 33s and open diffs.
Some of the rigs couldn't make it up so we headed back down. We found Test Dummy down the trail stuck. The build Sami gave Test Dummy a pull but his XJ was sliding off the trail.
Toyotawheelin winched Test Dummy back on to the trail.
Regrouped and head back down.
Samis playing on the trail or was that two stuck on the trail?
Lunch at the turn off to Red Saddle.
At Red Saddle we turn up the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail. A few of us made it up to the Rocky Climb. We headed back down the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail and regrouped again.
We ran the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail down to where it is blocked off.
After a little fun we headed down to the Sno-Park and out the North Fork.
This was a real fun run. I can't wait to do it again.
