So does anyone here roll in an expedition style rig? You know, something that you can spend a week in the backcountry without the support of civilization with? I'm planning on building my current toyota into something of the sort, lots of storage, mild lift, agressive AT's, coupla lockers, compressor, full size spare, power converter, onboard welder, I should be set.

Even if none of you guys have this sort of rig, any suggestions you can make for what else I should do would be great.

expeditionportal.com is a good one too.

Eventually I'd like an expo style truck, just dunno if this one is it. Can't help admiring them though, reading threads and buying mags when people do good writeups. Someday...

Yeah, I'm already a member of Expedition Portal. The expo style of building a truck is what really works for me, especially if i'm able to pull off making it able to do some of the stuff that you guys build your stuff on here for.

Anybody out there got any ideas on what all i should include in the build though?

I've read about wheeling in the Australian outback where expedition type rigs is what they wheel. A high capacity fuel tank seems to be a very popular mod down there. 900 mile range is what they were going for. Here in the states though you could probably find a gas station a little closer than that.
