this is the first time ive done any kind of SAS on any type of vehicle and the stock front driveline doesn't come close to the axle:D . ive got a '90 yota pickup and used an '85 toyota solid axle so what would you guys suggest i do for the front d-line?

yeah ive thought about that, only thing tho is that they probably aren't as strong as a regular tube driveline and above 10mph you get mass d-line wobble. what ive heard anyways

Dual t-cases will solve your problem, but you'll still have to rebuild a longer front driveline.

You can also take apart the CV and clearance it for more angle, but you might not be able to get enough out of it to handle the angles at full droop.

Check with Jacob and see what he did, I know he had the same issue with his rig after the SAS.

yeah he did the square drive line deal. he's not quite finished with it yet, im just waiting to see how it turns out for him then decide.

the square one in my old Runner was smooth up to about 30mph. I had the Runner up to about 45 last weekend in 4wd before I noticed much vibration from the square driveline.

try building your own,cut tube off and weld on new.i do it all the time just try to set up a home made jig, angle works nicely, just watch the tack welds at first as they will pull it out of allignment easy.if you do a square one tap it for a grease fitting to keep the chatter down.hope this helps.

What's with Yota's and square d-lines?

It's no wonder I have such a low opinion of Yota owners.

easy now. I am a toyota owner and I KNOW square d lines SUCK.
just like an empty trailer on a dirt road. :rb:

CLANKITY CLANK, CLANKITY CLANK.:puke:

it doesnt take any more trouble to extend a d line than to make a receiver shaft.:booo:

I do agree, they do suck thats why i said try building one,and that if he does build a square one at least put a fittin on it.

I did one "temporarily" to get me on the trails after the swap. It served it's purpose and is strong as hell but I get vibes at 30+mph. Also my tcase output bearings are on the way out and I would imagine the d-line vibes had something to do with it. And when you get on a rock and it walks it kinda sucks. So if you have the money get a decent one made

yeah ive been looking around for a kit that would extend it for me but so far the only ones i can find are for the rear d-line.
