So my boss sent his favorite son to somewhere north of St. Louis in the semi this morning. He was supposed to go haul a crane home for a local company. thing is, we aren't tagged for hire, no custom hauling. Okay, throw a sticker over the other company's logo on the crane. This crane is heavy. Like combined of 132K#'s heavy. he got all the way there and most of the way back. right before the Ks side weigh station, they get him for 4K over on a drive axle and 2K over his permit total. For now they have no idea what to do. they can get a bigger permit tomorrow, but it is still too heavy on a drive axle. This hauling job isn't so sweet now. :D I laughed and told him he was ridin dirty trying to stick it to the man. now he is sitting at a weigh station in the next state over waiting for a ride, keeping company with his dog Charlie (chuck norris) Harris. :D :D

Yeah, here's the thing. Larry will pay the ticket. Ok, cool. now, what happens when you have a bunch of overweight fines on your license? what about someone who isn't his son. I was loading at the quarry the other day and he had me putting 20 tons on the 10 wheelers and 30 on him (end dump). this is only about 8K over for both of them. "short haul and tarp it, you won't get caught". The other 2 employees were now happy. They were like, "sure he will pay the fine, but what happens when I move on and my new potential employer wants me to drive.......'what, you have tons of tickets, no bueno' "
I think he is about home, he is supposed to call soon and say whether or not he has my ready welder still in his truck. that would piss me off it it were gone.
