I have removed/inspected and reassembled this frikken brake fitting 7 times now. I hate brake fluid. What the halibut am i doing wrong here? And whats the best fix. It is the t at my front axle. The end of the hose has female threads, Im thinking of getting a new line that has a male end. I already replaced the leaky hardline, It had a uneven flare.

You probably have the wrong flare going into the end of the brake hose, is that where it's leaking? Most likely it needs a 3/16" flare like the lines going in to the sides of the tee.

It has one, And there is a clear witness mark on all contact area's.

is it a double flare?
is there a flare cracked?
is it leaking from the top portion or where the lines come in? is the T the right one? is ti designed for pipe thread and yous using straight?

Its a pipe/straight fitting that joints the hose to the t. The threads are soo different that it will only work one way. Im gonna swap out the hose to a male out straight to the t this friday. I'll take it all apart and post pics of everything tonight or tomorrow.

Is it a male fitting into the 't'? Or is that a M-M union there?

Is it feasible to build a short little section of flared hardline to fit there?

Its a pipe/straight fitting that joints the hose to the t. The threads are soo different that it will only work one way. Im gonna swap out the hose to a male out straight to the t this friday. I'll take it all apart and post pics of everything tonight or tomorrow.

I thought you said it was a 3/16" flare? If yes then the pipe threeds fill not seal it.

He's trying to hook a 1/4" flare hose to a 3/16" flare T, and the adapter is being a c**t. But I brought the hookup.
