Congrats. When you should be blowing that money of a forclosed house, you bought a Ford. Makes sense.

That fill up would HURT! WOW! I am looking for a decent VW TDI, but they are gold.

Hey now....... I'm savin up some monies for a house as well---forclosures are rampant around here too :eat: Grandpa's big into real estate (he made all his money off California real estate) pressuring me into it but I wanna feel a lil more secure in my job before I make a 30 year commitment... ok ok and pics of the ferrd to come later today

foreclosures havent even started yet. the economy still has a year or two to come back. if you buy a house today for 150k that was worth 180 a year ago, it will prolly be worth 120 in another year or so. the eich will get richer when that time comes. the wife and i are thinking about selling ours now and renting for a year or so. let the money sit in the hole for a while then buy when the time is right

if you sold the house and the shop at the same time you would be fuggin sitting on a decent chunk. peanut butter country time. :spin:
And put all of it into foreign $'s anyway to can. The US dollar hasn't finished falling in value.

My take is that there has to me parity in the world. The US has been living a lifestyle substantially higher than the rest of the world for a long time. Well that time has come to an end. The US isn't going to fall all the way down to meet them, and they all wont be able to come up to our level so it is a compromise. The US will take a hit but the rest of the world will benefit.
We are seeing it in the currency markets right now. The US dollar is losing value, and the Euro is gaining value. But has anything really changed? I think thats argueable on a macro scale, but on the micro scale. Where it affects the dollars in our pockets, we can take advantage, of, or at least hedge out if we can. Try to get out of as much US Dollars as possible as they are losing value, and get into the foreigns because they are gaining. Simple! Now if I just didn't have a house, land, and a bunch of other intangible assets that are tied up in US Dollars......... dunno

Oh yeah, Rob congrats on the bus. The greenies love you. :flipoff1:

Rob's already lookin at the Excursion as being a roadside motel, talked to him last night and he was like.. "were gonna leave at midnight and just crash in the excursion since there is plenty of room when we get tired"

Sounds like my kinda traveling laughing Im sure he is on the road ( prolly sleeping beside one ) right now, maybe we should call his cell and wake them up ;D
