Good work TK !!!

Guys please get your thoughts concerns and ideas together, lets have a fun and productive discussion !! 8)

I have already had a few folks asking me about " joining" WE need to discuss membership and all get on the same page.

Cant wait to see everybody !! And snag that open face roast beef sammich ;D

I agree 100%, we started this club as an invite only with the concept of only allowing new members in with a 100% vote of ALL members. The vote was easier when it was just me and P, now all of you will have to vote in a new member also. My ideas are that we require a prospective member to attend 2-3 rides with us before we ever even vote on their membership, bring your ideas tommorrow and let's see what we all come up with.

I am sure some of us will be there early tommorrow, so come early if you want to!

Tim Cameron showed an interest in being in. He seriously wheels every weekend(when he's not broke) all over the SE so making a ride won't be an issue.

First meeting recap for Joe, and just to have for historical purposes.......

Paul and I talked about the reason and idea behind starting the club. Those include small group, invite only, passionate about 4wheeling and willing to participate.

Open discussion regarding how membership would be handled going forward. The club decided that we would vote on members at the end of the year, and that 10 total members is the maximum number that would be considered (7 currently). We would be proactive in soliciting members, and will invite potential members to rides/events before voting on them. New members can only be voted in with a unanimous vote by all members. The standard response if you are approached about membership is that it is exclusive and member controlled. Basically, someone telling us they want to join means nothing. We will go out as a club and solicit new members, not vice versa. Also, members can be voted out as easily as they are voted in.

We tabled the discussion regarding out of state/non-local members. We decided to focus on the current membership and any potential local members for the time being.

The club will not have officers or dues, in an effort to keep things simple. All club expenses will be split amongst the group, as the web hosting was on Monday. If you have an area of expertise or would like to do something in particular, just step up and do it. Areas that we will need to focus on as a club include: Land Owner/Shop Owner Relations, Ride/Event Planning, PR, Meeting Planning/Documentation and Club/Organization Liaison.

We ironed out dates and locations for all 2007 rides. See the Trail Rides section and the 2007 Ride Schedule for more info. The July KOTH Course ride and the September Tellico ride were deemed member rig only runs. You can bring non-members as passengers, but only member rigs are allowed. Potential members that are agreed on by the entire club can bring their rigs to other rides like August @ MMORV and November @ Windrock.

We discussed time/location of the club Christmas Party. After the Christmas for Kids Ride @ Gray Rock was one of the ideas mentioned. There will be more info to follow regarding this topic.

We are still finalizing the club logo. Once complete we will have shirts made. Cozies, stickers, and other logo items are also in the works also. The website is still in progress, so keep checking back for more information on it.
