ford 7.3 swap Q's

will a 95 7.3 powerstroke bolt up to a 93 prepowerstroke 7.3 tranny and all that. my buddy found a 95 motor to swap into his 93.

is it a pretty easy swap, basically same motors?

not exactly sure about the eng bolting to the trans,(I think it will); BUT,then there's the exhaust to deal w/, the computer control system is completely different; fuel supply system,etc,etc....basically would need entire donor truck so you have everything you need....given I've worked on both, I think it'd be a major pain...almost better to sell existing truck and buy a later model....ie. '95 powerstroke...

block should be the same, kev is right all the electronic crap was added 94.5-97.

thanks guys, my buddies engine is toast and we found him the powerstroke which is why he was wondering if he could just throw the longblock in it and bolt his intake and everything else on.

so that sounds like more work than we want to do.

would be better off finding an I.D.I. 7.3; happen to know a dude that might just have one...PM me if interested......(1/17/08)I just got home from said dude's house,and he does have an IDI 7.3L turbo for sale complete,good runner; $1,500 bucks OBO; Anybody?
