Ford C6 will it work

I'm in a bind. I have an outing for my motorhome tomorrow and the transmission JUST went parking in my driveway when I got it home tonight.

I found one off craigslist for $150 out of an 89 Ford Van with the 460. Mine motor home has the Ford E350 Chasis, Ford 460 but it's a 1994 which is the EFI motor. I don't know if these are compatible?

Does anyone know if this will work?

'89 ford vans w/460 were also EFI, so the trans should work just fine, as long as they both have the C-6;

Either one should be a C-6. Do they have overdrive? As far as I know the 89 should be a AOD trans and the 94 should be a E4OD. My GUESS is it would not be a bolt it in and work swap but I don't know this for sure.

I've worked on early to mid 90's MH's w/ 460 C-6 combo. The late 80's vans w/ 460 could've been spec'd w/ C-6. Binder's probably right regarding the od trannies, If they have O.D.; the van should have a button on dash (that turns off O.D. if wanted) Look @ the gear selector- Does it have a circle around the 'D'? If so, then it has O.D.; Good luck........
