Hey does the D60 and the D50 fronts share the same diff cover ? How can you tell the diff , is there a different bolt count or anything.

01 F350 with a V10 surely that would have a D60 up front right ??

If I remember correct a d50 is the same center section as a d60, just different shafts and knuckles? Does that sound right?

I always thought the Dana 50 used a 60 center section.

I "think" the knuckles and steering parts were different plu sit was a unit bearing if its a 50... but **** I dont know.. thats what Im thinking and I dont always do that right. ;D


Only thing I need to know is if the diff covers are the same basically..

Yep diff cover is the same. The D50's have the D60 centersection. D50 is all the TTB arm stuff. Nothings the same except for the outers are I believe the same as D44's, lockouts and all.

D50 / D60 / D70 ............... all the same diffy cover. ;D

wyatt, the later d50's weren't ttb
and the later ttb's had 50 size hubs and lockouts.
