I want to install a childs seat in the extended cab portion of my toy pickup. Iwas wondering if anybody has done something more safe than just putting a store baught child seat in with a seat belt. Has any one fabed a special seat or found a place to buy a child size racing seat for mounting to a roll cage any and all info would be apprciated. thanks

Try summit racing and Jegs. They sell "kids" size racing seats...IIRC from like toddler on up with harnesses to match. INMO along with the seat and harness the next most important thing, for a child, would be a neck brace.

I see you have given this some thought, Heather did seem to be glowing.

Simpson makes a couple nice car seats, one for bigger kids and the other for infants. When the time comes thats what the Mrs and I are getting.

I've got a child sized Beard seat in the back of my trail rig.

They are refered to as "Baby Beards" by the manufacturer.

My daughter has been using this seat since she was about 1.5 years old. Last summer I strapped my cousins kid in it, he's about 8yrs old, and fit in the seat well.

I have 2 new beard super kid seats that I'll sell. The are cloth grey with blue centers. Very nice seats made exactly like the big ones but 1/3 the size.

Retail is over $250 a seat.
I would like to sell the pair for $300
