here it is, what to do about a fuel cell, space is an issue I'm gonna go with a 12gal fuel cell because any bigger it want fit. a 12 gal will fit perfect i just
need to know about the inlets and outlets what is everyone running in buggy's
top inlets/ outlets
rear sump inlets/ outlets
side outlet/top inlet
and another question foam or no foam?

i was leaning toward top inlet and top outlet and no foam with one of those wing things in the cell to pick up all the fuel in the tank at any angle what do ya ll think

I personally don't like top inlet outlet, I always have a issue with fuel pickup. I like bottom outlet. Look into the moon/spun aluminum tanks they may work better for your application.

I would go with one, with a 2" sump at the bottom. Foam is a personal preference. I got it because that was the only way my summit/rci tank came, and after a year it looks brand new running 93 octane.

bottom outlet, I've seen foam **** up twice now. I took mine out.
custom make one, or get a spun/small narrow, wide tank. the square or rectangular box ones are great for a drag car. there's a trunk with no need for anything else in it. a ****ing buggy, the rear is RUINED by the big squre tank. I'll never run one again.

[/quote] what happened with your foam?I think the foam in mine sometimes blocks off the fuel pickup.

Foam starts to deteriorate and then it will go through your system and plug the pump and or filter up. Ive first hand seen it happen before as well.

that said mines got foam in it laughing1 I think the thing is to realize it and not run it for 5 years expecting it to last... I have a clear filter and figure the first time I see floaties in it the foam is coming out.

I like my sump outlet summit brand fuel cell alot for the money. The cap is kinda a PITA sometimes and its plastic so its got a deformed top already being in the sun and what not..

Sometimes mine just quits lettin fuel out.I can take the line loose, before the filter, and no fuel comes out.I can blow into the vent and pressurize the cell, still nothing. Then I can give the line a little, uhh, suck and then fuel will pour out.I've noticed it seems to happen more on steep downhill descent. My filter is clear also and theres no trash or anything ever in it.Like you fellas say it" brings on the suck" when it does it.
