'87 Toy 22RE, the engine is loaded with these little elec. connectors that have a square plug-in. There is a retainer snapring type clip that holds the plugs together. Ex. the electrial plugs for the fuel injectors. Now my question is , how do you get them off without breaking them or spending a few min. each plug with a knife or screwdriver and pry the spring down then pull the plug. Is there a cool little tool for removeing the clips? If so, where can you buy one?

Arent they the standard plugs that you just push down on the metal wire and pull the plug off?

The japs were not that smart--you have to peel the U-shaped metal clip off...

Or mabye they were.... They may be a PITA but at least I've never seen one of those fall off on it's own. :haha:

Yeah, I always just use a small pick for those... kind of a pain, but you'll get the process down real quick and it won't take you too long per clip.

I have. As soon as the plastic breaks and the clip becomes useless, they slip right off. I can't remember ever seeing a car without at least one of those things busted

Yeah... that usually happens when some jackass tries to yank it off without unclipping it first.
