I'm headed to Moab, Ut leaving NC on March 20. I'm trying to plan out every detail of the trip possible before hitting the road. From what I can find, it seems the cheapest fuel along 40,actually cheapest I've seen in the country, is around Oklahoma City. That will be almost exactly halfway for me. I'll have ~140 gallons with me when I leave NC, more than enough to make it to OK before stopping. I figured since some of yall are from the midwest, you might have some more insight.

I've never been. I just going to test my theory that east coast trails are harder than driving on sandpaper laughing1. And that I won't hear the rev limiter all week.

I need about 25 condoms for my wild weekend plans. I don't mean to brag, I just thought you guys might know where I could find some cheap. ;D

(Have fun on your trip Travis. Take lots of pics and video.)

I am jealous as **** of you! A lot of stations out there sell bio mixes, so bring an extra fuel filter or two with you because they will free up all the junk in your system. I am not sure on specific stops, I just know the route I take to Clayton each year. Past Memphis across Arkansas is great for fuel mileage because it is flat dammit.

Load up on fuel in Oklahoma, their road tax is less than surrounding states so the fuel cost is lower.

That place must have gone out of business in 2006.

The only difference in fuel prices are the margin and taxes. Raw cost is more than $2.57. The fuel that my company purchased in Oklahoma City last night was $3.18, thats before tax and margin.

Have fun, you might get bored, but the scenery more than makes up for it.

Rusty Nail has some pucker to it when you realize it's a nice drop to imminent death.

A buddy of mine from Clemson has video of his dad literally holding the camera out side the door at arms length and looking down a shear drop at least 300yards. I think it was off cliff hanger. Give me a canyon to ride in any day out there. Too much **** can go wrong on my rig to be riding next to a cliff. That little off camber section on hells revenge scared me.
