Full hydro question

Anyone know if a tapped Saginaw box can function as the steering gear in a full hydro setup? If not, why?

It can not. The pressure applied to the ram is only there when the box builds pressure while the tire hits an obstacle it cannot overcome. As you apply more force to the steering wheel extra pressure is pushed out of the box and into the ram causing it to move.
