looking to push 42s on a little yj with a single ended ram. Would I be good with a 2x8 ram or should I step up to a 2.5x8?

Ben

Most all people get away fine with 2", a few guy's I know have had a lack of steering and it was due to a wack rebuilt pump. When that's not the case the 2.5" is just the right compromise it has the ability to hurt you're knuckles, but you'll know when you're doing it, and effortless steering is nice at the cost of less steering speed.

I have been running a 2" ram for about 5 years now---works fine. I did not bump the pump pressure to keep from beating up on the knuckles/ball joints as bad(granted full hydro is not easy of those parts)

ok well I had a 2x8 double ended ram can anyone tell me if this orbital will work with a single ender? its a danfoss its got all the number on it But I dont know what one will gimme the specs

thanks

Specs on orbital?

Rod sizes on old and new rams?

All I can say at this point is that you're effective steering ratio will be slower on ram extension than with the double ender.
