I went and looked at a guys 63 IH project last week. He has a TON of parts for it already and its all there outside of final assembly . rebuilt 5.38 D44/12b rear with discs and lockers all the steering new beadlocks and 37 Iroks. Buick V6/auto/D300
Well he came and checked out the 85 Yota last night and wants to trade straight up for it. Says he doesnt have time, space or money to finish the Scout and his wife would love to see it outta the garage ( we can all relate to that...LOL ) Talked the the wifes dad and he is interested in it as well so we are going to try to pick it up this week and get it stashed until I finish up the buggy.
Im pretty stoked cause it looks and has the parts to be a real cool lil driver / light wheeler. Ill get some pics next time Im out there to pick it up. 8)
Heres were its headed..
D44/ 5.38s/ locked/ drilled tapped knuckle with steering arm drag link and tierod DOM with 1ton TRE's
12B 5.38s locked disc brakes Both axles are rebuilt painted and ready to go. New leaf springs front and rear with all hangars and hardware
yota IFS box drilled and tapped for hydro assist.
Fresh Buick v6 ( 3.8 I believe) New carb, aluminum Edelbrock intake, new headers chrome edelbrock valve covers painted and ready to go.
rebuilt auto with Trans go valvebody, B&M cable shifter adapter for D300
D300 with twin sticks ( if I dont steal them for the buggy )
New 15" 32 bolt bead locks and a set of high tread used but not mounted 37 radial iroks.
New seats, prefabbed kit rollcage, CD player, new steering wheel and a ton of other lil odds and ends to get it finished up.
Things I know it needs... Id like to put a aftermarket soft top on it . And it needs a brake booster as he loaned his out and never got one back. Plumbing , wiring, and some cleaning painting what not while assembled. This is a next year build though, I think it will be a real cute lil rig. 8)
