Gregg called me tonight and told me that Chris Peck (ronald mcdonald color rig) rolled on a nasty hill up there and his armed was pinned under it. They said it was basically just dangling and he will lose it more than likely. He was air lifted out of the Summertown. I was not there but I know he likes to drink a lot when he wheels. Please be careful and don't do something you will regret your entire life.

You gotta be safe out there. Gregg said that hill is so bad he wont even try it, that means it is stupid hard to me. I wish him the best, he is a super nice guy. I hope it was a freak accident and not because he was not properly belted or had been drinking too much...

I can't believe it, I must be old, but wyatt is right when he says he will not even rec wheel now without the window nets. His are intrusive, but they do keep your arms inside.
This is just horrible. I fear this almost more than anything, save paralysis. There are still lives after limb loss, but to ever fab or race do sports, man, you are forever changed. :-\ All of my thoughts and prayers go out to this guy's family. This is awful. :(

I get asked all the time" what if your arms come out in a roll". Thats one reason I made/ kept my side bar high. Plus I know a few guys that wear arm restaints. Mostly in comps. My arm or my passenger getting thier limbs FUBARED is one of my biggest fears. Hence no grab bars on the side.

I spoke with Peck tonight on my way home from WITC and told him what a tragedy it is that happened to him. His reply," I didn't die, I JUST lost a limb" THIS DUDE ROCKS... He said he was trying to pass his urine testing so they would release him from the hospital. Peck has not lost a beat. Don't even start to think this dude in anyway shape or form is going to let this incident as severe as it is, slow him down. If he could get into his buggy tonight, he would, so ya'll watch out. He loves this ****, he is passionate about wheeling and I am sure he learned a valuable lesson the hard way. CHRIS PECK WILL BE BACK. I promise you, whether you witnissed this in person or interwebbed, he will be back witth Big Al by his side in the McDonalds buggy hitting the trails. That's how he rolls. Chris, we can't wait for your return, in the meantime, get well. thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif
