What brand are you running in your rigs, mainly looking for guys who are running buggies/truggies due to the open air cabins.

I picked up a Sun-Pro from AutoZone and it lasted me 3 trips before it went tits up. After the first trip it had some moisture on the inside of the glass, and it only got worse and now its just dead...

I figure AutoMeter is probably the way to go, been using them in my uncle's race car for years with out issue but then again it doesn't run in the rain like we do.

i have had the same problems with the same gauges myself, i am gonna build my dash diff. w/ alittle cowl so they don't get wet as easy. i think any guage will have this prob if it is exposed to the elements.

Auto meter. Liquid filled on the water temp and oil preasure and a plastic bag over the tach in bad weather.

I have had autometer sport comp gauges in my heep for 10 years. Three vital gauges (oil, water, volts), all three are electrical, all three get moisture on the inside, and all three still work.

My Jeep gets pressure washed and then stored inside though. The most top I have had on it is a bikini (helps but everything gets wet still as I only have 2/3 of the windshield).

I hate gauges, just give you something to worry about. I just run temp "VDO"

RPM .. shift when you stop accelerating
Oil......Head back to truck if you hear tapping (whadda gonna do?)
alt......If the fans stop working, yep not charging

No Worries

i ran marine gauges in my last rig...

will probably be upgrading my current one to some at some point...

they are a bit spendy though, but i never had one fail on me..
