Re: Re: Getting Started

"Rock bouncing" is more expensive than "rock crawling" and I'm puttin out sum cash for a crawler couldn't imagine a rock bouncer

If you want to be hands-on but still have a buggy that works the first try, I'd get with a builder who's style you like and have them assemble a rolling chassis mocked up with your power train of choice. This way the suspension geometry, strength, and balance is figured out for you already.

Get a bender and welder and some other various tools and a pile of fawkin tubing and go build yourself something. You will find out quick if you have a nack for it or not. Hell it's just metal it can always be cut and redone if you mess up. Don't be scared, get in there with both feet and see what happens.
But I guess it really depends on how much money you got, in my case I wanted the type of I saw on the Internet but there was no way in hell I had the cash to pay somebody to build it so I did it myself.
And my wife loves that i took over the basement molaugh

Thanks everyone for the feedback. What I should have said is Im wanting to build a buggy not so much a rock bouncer. Ive used jeeps for the past few years just wanting to change things up.
