Will the canister attached to the pump work. Sure. Drill and tap the side of the reservoir? Good luck on that , the reservoir is thin and I don't believe you can tap it.A better choice would be to run a remote reservoir set up. You will be glad to have the extra volume to hold extra fluid . This is helpful both in terms of feeding the pump and allowing for the uneven displacement. If you have modded the pump's ability to flow more fluid you will really want that extra fluid. A modded pump can starve and cavitate quickly. Take your existing pump out of the can and order up a reservoir can from psc http://www.pscmotorsports.com/remote-fill-p-pump-reservoir-can-12-jic-feed-oring-side.htmlPlace your p pump in one of these cans. Then fab yourself a reservoir or purchase one of your choice. Try and locate your reservoir as close as possible to the pump. Mine mounts directly over the top of the pump with a 3 inch long piece of size 12 push lock VACUUM RATED hose connecting the reservoir to the pump. If you have questions feel free to pm me. Good luck on your endeavor.
