My first customer job :cheer:

He needed a new x-member to clear his driveshaft after his sas and lift. Sorry for the shitty pics, I'll try and get some better ones once he has it powdercoated. Started at 930 last night, finished around 4 this morning:redneck:

:beer:Oh yeah....sorry! Looks good by the way:awesomework:

By no means am I trying to pick apart your work. Just my .02, maybe I'm wrong....

Nice work :awesomework:I hope hes a paying customer. The whole crossmemeber solid stock?

I think you're gonna run into problems, cause that crossmember is way too fast for that truck. :redneck:

Maybe some fish plating?? Something to reinforce those butt-welds.

They will hold up fine. If this was a hardcore mall crawler, I would have ran 1/8 plate along it. As is it's plenty strong however, especially considering this thing will probably never see any wheeling.

if welded correctly this is not required. at all. :awesomework:

Yup:beer:

nice work

Thanks

Valid question, thanks for the compliment

Nice work :awesomework:I hope hes a paying customer. The whole crossmemeber solid stock?

Thanks. It's made out of 3x1x1/8 wall tubing, with 1 1/2 speed holes.

Nice job .. :hi:

Thanks

I told him to take her easy on the skinny pedal, until he gets used to the new found speed. He doesn't know what he got himself into :redneck:

This thing will probably be back before too long, he's got some rear suspension issues to be worked out

axle wrap from blocks?

nice work, those holes are lined with tubing correct? me thinks thats how i am gonna make my next crossmember

Yup, stock 2" blocks stacked on top of 4" blocks, and his pinion is pointed way too high.
