Just a though to see waht you guys think. I am not by any means designing the course just offered to come help since I have a place to stay close to the park. And Rocky has asked if we would come help.

So what do you think about starting at one end of the infield hitting a table top, small rock section into some sorta whoops then a rock climb up the banked part of the track to a tight turn back down the track and a jump on the flat back towards the start to finish?

I wanna go fast :eat: I would love to see a longer course that you can build some speed up, especially off the line. The XRRA courses I have seen are just always full of turns and up and down hills and so forth, which makes it hard to carry any speed. I don't really see the point in a bunch of turns and hills, especially when the rocks are not really present or that challenging. Throw in a few challenging rock sections and make the rest fast!

Anybody got anything else to add? Going down this weekend to start on it. If no body has any input I dont want ot hear a bunch of crying.

What do yall think about runnin two buggys at a time side by side like XRRA only head to head on a wider track so there is plenty of room to pass.Do you think racers would be afraid they would yardsale there rigs.

I think XRRA runs two courses because it was tough to get insurance for side by side racing, something to check into before doing it.

Dont know about side by side but more then likely it will be two courses. Just have to get down there this weekend and start moving dirt.

i think a very important concern would be that any rocks that get put in place, will stay in place... i think that lines should be concidered easy for a trail ride, but under race conditions it will be twice as hard... this might do two things, give you something that wont hold up traffic during a race and when not racing it will give smaller, more stockish rigs a place to play...

I told ya mine already. It should be fun, you guys will do a good job no doubt! Still looking like a nighttime event?

Thanks for the input guys. This would be an easy corse for safty but the competition should be intence. We are just trying to make this spectator friendly and differant ideas are welcome.

We will have to have some events at night to get them all in. lot of work to be done yet but were gettin there I would like to talk with you Matt O call me 615 642 9126 thanks

Bingo.

Plus. We have the ultimate fail example of this. UROC Rockcross. It was the death of them. Sounded like a great idea so much they quit the rockcrawl biz and tried real side by side rock buggies on a track with big obstacles. All it turned into was a bash fest on the rock section and who can drive on who first to make it.

I love the idea of same course racing, but understand the issues. The park is about 7-8 hrs from me, but I would more than likely run every event you have, as long as Toddy has a place for me to stay!

AS long as the inlaws are not there we got 4 bed rooms and can get 2 campers set up there so bring it. Everybody but Sam is welcome.
