For 19 poorly done stitches and a boo-lance ride. SHEEEEIOT . Worst part is my wife asked them on NUMEROUS occasions if they had all my info and insurance and they repeatedly told her yes. Then they straight bill us without insurance. ::) Dummass's

Bro -

Send that bill to the insurance company and asked them if the hospital sent them a itemized bill; make sure they are not trying to screw you....because as we know they will. How much you want to bet the bill they sent the insurance company is not for the same amount they sent you.

It happens...did to me.

just fyi from you loving sis

Im under the assumption that no insurance was contacted at all...... I dont know, Amber is on it though, you know how fired up she gets LOL

I think she's going to contact her insurance company Monday, see if they recieved anything on it and then go from there with UAB so we can get it all worked out. I dont think I had my wallet / insurance card on me when I went in. I dont recall anything but getting walked out and Amber and her mother getting me home... I was fully F'd the Saturday after It happened and who knows about what happened at the hospital. I remember them telling me my family was there, and I could go... and me telling them I had to drop a duece first.... seriously that is the only memory I have of the incident ;D
( well the earliest... I remember throwing up a few times on the ride home in a bucket in my Mother in laws new car.. DOH... Im amazed these people still love me :-[ )

we are all amazed ;D

With Amber on it you now it will get done.....everyone better move out of her way.....she will run you over LOL

Gotta Love her!

wife told me to tell ya she spent 3 days in the hospital in opelika and left with a diagnosis of abdominal pains and it only set her back 8G's and ****ed up her credit .. damn they must of seen you coming. Should of just done it hillbilly style with some whiskey and an iron.

It can be expensive. Blue Cross paid out over $500,000 in Jessica's short 4 1/2 month life.

But in P's case!

19 poorly done stitches -------- $190.00
boo-lance ride. -------------------- $450.00

Putting up with P when he ain't remembering ------- PRICELESS. But since they can't put that on the bill. Look for the line

HF ---------------------------- $20.193.70

LOL , I did leave one mean lil stinker when i dropped a duece :flipoff1: The nurse prolly tacked another 5k on for that experience since she was in there with me

My brother in law works for BC/BS and we got on this subject one day. The way he explained it is every case is different. One we was talking about the visit was like 13,000 he said BC/BS would probably settle it for around $6,000.00 so you can see they rip off if you don't have any insurance. Truthfully they probably want get paid much if anything if they don't have insurance though. Doctor's, Lawyer's and insurance company's are just one big ripoff

Getting it straight with insurance... I am going to be outta pocket 350 for the bu - lance :-\ Still waiting to hear back on the rest...

Just so you know, medical bills can't affect your credit, or at least they are not suppose to, so don't let someone screw you over by trying to make you believe that. All the hospital can do is send you the bill or set up some type of payment plan, but it doesn't mean you have to stick to it really. Let the insurance handle it for a while, the hospital will eventually stop contacting you about it.

No doubt! I had one come back on me, after the INS payed up. I was never sent any coorispondence, only way I found out was my credit run. Took 3 months to get them to pull it out of the system, and acknowledge that my INS paid them in full.

FAWKING BS that Hospitals play!
