just called up warn because I needed a steel ball bearing that goes in the 8274 brake ass. They are just going to ship me what I need for free, and guess what no wait for the slow boat from CHINA ****. Arron at warm looked it up said it would take to long to have it shipped from any dealer so he would take care of it for me right from warn. Thats why I will buy only warn winches:cheer: :flipoff: ..

Very cool. And a cool thing about warn is if even no dealer had the part and it had to come directly from them the part is still coming out of Oregon.

I agree. Warn rocks. I've only had two minor issues /w my XD9000i in almost 10 years and both were taken care of free of charge, only one while it was under warranty. I will never own another brand.

20 plus on mine and it will be back to going strong soon.. Hope to geta new 9500XP for the rear soon..:clappy:

I used to have an 8274 that was rebuilt at Warn. When I went to pick it up the guy behind the counter says consider it warranty work and gave me my winch back with all new solenoids and wiring. They are  in my book.

Yeah, my rig came with a Warn winch on it already. And hubs. When I inquired about parts on their e-mail contact us, they never got back to me, so I think they suck! :flipoff:
Actually a buddy of mine has had problems with his Warn winch since almost new and they won't do jack for him. He's had it torn apart twice, but it still dies intermittently. I did get a free hat from them though :D

Uprights are no good, just send them to me for disposal!
To big, to heavy, just all around not a good piece to own...:redneck:

Well mines got 24 years of good use in, and the best part is, everything on it is original! Never had to repalce a sonenoid, motor, or cable:clappy:

I gotta give em a call my XD9000I isn't working. I think its a solenoid. Sometimes it clicks, most of the time nothing.

Warns a good group to invite on long weekend runs. They bring free trinkets, at least in the past they did. Got a free cable for my 8274 one year down in Rimrock. Watched a set of mile marker hubs get swapped out in camp one night also.

i found an 8274 in the dumpster at work:fawkdancesmiley: case was broken but the motor worked and i need one:awesomework:

I also had a couple problems with my 9000i that they took care of free of charge. The last one 7 years after I bought the thing. Called for the parts & they told me over the phone it was a freeby on them.

I have a broke HS9500i on a shelf in my basement. It was cheaper for me to buy a Tmax than fix the Warn. I had many issues with it due to mud and water. They are not sealed that well. Pulling it apart to get water and mud out became normal maintance.

I am a fan of the 8274, but the size of it does not work for my buggy. I am happy when others that are there to flip me back over have a 8274 on their rig.

You lost one of those little bastards too? I had those things shooting in every direction, when I first pulled mine apart :haha: :haha: :haha:

I have owned many winches thru the years and the 8274 is titts. But, their low profile winches have gone down in quality IMO, as I have had a few that have failed under below normal use. A few of my buddys have had the same things happen to theirs also.

My M8000 did the same thing. Changed all the solenoids and still nuttin. Ended up being a poor ground. Took it off, cleaned it up, re connected it and it worked fine.

Warn has been an invaluable resource. I took my M12000 down to get fixed, and even though it's out of warranty, they looked at it for free.

I blew an axle on the Jan 1st and damaged a hub. I never fixed the hub, as it still engaged - however it was never 'right' after that. On a April run, one of the Warn guys was there and gave me the parts to fix the hub for free.

I've ran Warn axles, hubs, and winches with great success.

Truly they are one of the original 4x4 companies.

Tony
