So I got the spare creepy vulcanized last week finally. It is not pretty but it serves the purpose and that is why tires are two sided. ;D Got the tube on Friday and took it all the Tire Tech today. Tire Tech did screw me first go round on the section repair, but they can mount big tires in about 5 minutes and they are cheap. Had them mount it without the tube first, it leaked, then added the tube and we were good to go! So I have a brand new spare (1 ride) with a repaired sidewall and a tube. Then I go to S&S carbonic to have my CO2 tank tested and certified (to get filled), dropped it off and it should be done on Wed.

Very productive and eventful lunch break!

That is the 4th Creepy that I have heard of with sidewall damage. Trent Fab has cut 2, Gunmetalcruz 1 and now you. Looking at the sidewalls, I just cant believe it.

What is the story?

I did not cut it, one of the XRRA racers did it. When Maxxis was here for XRRA Gray Rock they asked if anyone wanted this "ruined" tire and two other thrashed tires off a CORR truck. P took them and then traded them to me when he bought my IROKs. The tire still has the little nubs on it. Creighton from Maxxis said this tire was only the second he had heard of tearing a sidewall

Well I know trent and Tom would not BS me on it.

Kinda like that dude at Hi9 saying that they have not had any difs break and now some nn-sponsored guys are starting to talk........

Kinda **** pisses me off, but there is no reason to bite the hand that feeds you.

Doubt you will get any of those guys with 2 x 4 Maxxis stickers on their buggys to tell the true tale.

Eric Childress killed a Creepy sidewall as well. First trip out.

Of course that is a full throttle racing enviroment, **** any tire can die like that.

XRRA is hard on ****. Maxxis only gives tires to a few dozen drivers, the rest pay $325 and get free freight, so I would say if they were not happy they would talk about it openly. I really don't see much difference between the reds and the creepys. People have ripped sidewalls on both, sure the creepys have more material but tires that soft can be torn. Both leak air off the back beeds, but both work well. Krawlers have been more popular and been around longer, so more people have had time to tear them up. Shoot you can't go wrong with either, but there are always risks.

I asked Derek a week or so ago on Pirate the latest on broken parts on his rig and he did mention the two cut tires.
