i got a 95 jeep cherokee with a 4.0, its a pain in the a$$ to get fired up and it has no power when i hit the gas, i changed the fuel filter and gutted the cat, cap rotor and plugs all look good, anyone got any ideas on what might cause this???

nope but if you want too sell it let me know I got a sweet running I-6 HO for it.
but seriuosly check the sencor by the tranny engine hey crash you had a problem like this what was the deal???

You find another rig to roll?:redneck: J/K Does it idle smooth, just no power (like lack of fuel) under acceleration? When you say 'pain in the a$$ to get fired up, what exactly is it doing?

not planning on wheelin this one!!! It idles smooth and runs ok, but yeah, acts like lack of fuel, and it craps out and sputters around 3 grand, and when i try to start it the thing kinda sputters, then if i try again it does the same, after 3 tries it usually fires right up like it is supposed to. Im going to check the fuel pressure to make sure its not a weak pump. It gets crappy gas mileage also.

Might be the Dist (cam sensor) out of sync with the crank sensor.....these things can be tricky to get dialed in...could be someone pulled dist out and got it a tooth off when they re-installed it.....

or it almost sound's like a plugged fuel filter either the one in the pump or on the uniframe..try the one on the uniframe first because the one in the pump is a bitch

so i checked the fuel pressure and that is good, still runs like $h!t, some one said computer or distributor. it kinda acts like the timing is retarded, the header is getting real hot real fast.....i just want to kick the jeep in the nuts.
