Ok so I found some info on pirate in the tech section, but I am trying to find the 16in inside diam. pvc to make some runflats. Im calling all my construction buddys but not getting any retail places to buy it from. Also for everyone lookings info, 406yj on pirate has the o-rings for 5bucks ea. and its like 9bucks to ship to this area.

I see that you are looking for PVC locally.....but STAZWORKS does what appear to be UHMW centers for different applications sold seperatly might be worth a call if the PVC doesn't work out

16" ID pipe is not standard around here. 15" and 18" is.

Other parts of the country, they throw the stuff away.

You can buy them for $40-$50 ea, but its the shipping that kills them. CJ66Dean makes/used to make Weld-together steel ones that were like $40 ea, but you saved a butt load on shipping.

I have a piece of 18" I intend to section like Ben did, unless a piece of 16" falls in my lap between then and now.

I bought o-rings from allorings.com. They come in bags of 3 for $7.04 each. 2 bags + shipping is $28. If you order 5 bags they are $3 a bag, for a total of $30 shipped. I ordered 5 bags.

I hear ya. 406yj sells the rubber runflats for $15ea. but its $80 to ship them from wichita(which seems pretty high to me) and I can buy rubber runflats local from chopshop for 30ea, but I was hoping to save some cash by making some from pvc. ok so sectioning some 18in sounds easy enough, and probably aids in installing them into the tires huh.

I don't know why people complain about it being difficult to get them in the tires. A little soapy water and mine popped right in.

I had the stazworks worked like 50 bones apiece, installing them all you do is put the tire on like 2 milk crates soap them up and put your foot inside the beadlock and use your body weight to get it to start, the rest is butter...........

Im probably gonna just buy some from chopshop for 30ea. having $400 into a set of beadlocks is reasonable enough for me. ($250 for 4 wheels+$25 for 5 o-rings+$120 for 4 rubber runflats=$395 buckaroos):awesomework: sometimes just buying the right stuff is cheaper in time than to make stuff that will work. The older I get the less work I want to do and the more money Id rather spend. in other words cutting and bolting pvc together vs dropping in rubber runflats is worth the price difference.

You're absolutely right. If I did it over and I could get rubber runflats for $30 ea. with no shipping I wouldn't even consider the PVC.
