We have decided to roll with meetings the first Monday of every month. We need to actually cover some things this month as opposed to last month. Potential members, '08 Ride Schedule, etc.

Has anyone been pursuing membership actively ? I havent heard or seen anything. dunno

I suck with the ride scheduling. My schedule is mostly real flexible. The only thing I can see being an issue will be the XRRA races thumb.gif

No but we talked a lot this weekend about going after a couple of folks for membership. We have been averaging 50-60% participation on rides, which only equates to 4-5 rigs. Having 2-3 more rigs in the mix would be nice.

Joes rig is finished and I wont be far behind. ( I want to be in mine by the end of Jan at the latest and I have the parts and desire to be on time )

Just keep that in mind.

I like both of John's suggestions, lets not move too fast though.
Originally, if I remember right, the plan was to invite one this year
and decide on one more after the first of the year. Is that correct?
I like that time line personally.

Last weekend was a blast!

We talked a lot about Keith this past weekend and I am all for asking him in the Dec-Jan timeframe. I am a little hesitant on Tony because I have heard from Keith and seen first hand that he is bad about inviting a lot of people to other's private rides. I believe we would really have to drive the concept of the club home to him. Outside of that, I think they are both great guys. They both obviously have a conflicts of interest, but in the end it will be up to them to decide if they are ok with that or not.

Also down the road (6 months to a year), I feel guys like Adam Carter and Big Lunch would be good members if they had the time to do it.

The averages always work out so that about 50-60% of any club participates, that is just the norm. So far that has been the case on every ride we have had. The first ride had the best turnout, but since then the most rigs we have had is 5.

Anyways, we should have a good discussion at the next meeting about participation, rides and membership.

I think if Keith were interested that would be Killer. He knows alot of folks and has good relations with most everyone. Finding places to ride and getting permission would not be an issue with someone with his resource ! 8)

( Plus his buggy is cool as **** laughing )

Meeting is a week from Today, have lot's to talk about. Bring your calendar or a list of any conflicts you may have in 2008.
