Same venue as always, same time. See you guys there. We need to spend a solid 30+ minutes talking about various aspects of club stuff from logos to Shamrock.

Lets organize discussion in this thread prior so people can form thier thoughts and make it a productive meeting... the last couple seems like we all walked away from them with more to discuss then we started out with laughing

1. Marketing Club ( IE giving the forum participators some swag to buy ) and what the funds would be utilized for. ( and how we are going to purchase said swag up front everyone split it or what ?? )

2. Club membership adding members and doing it in a productive manner.

3. Club event participation Planning rides , pre payment , commitment things of that nature.

Any other topics needing discussed shoot em up here and label them ( ie start at 4. so we can follow them and not re do the same topic over and over )

Great agenda Paul, those are all important issues. To take it one step further, please come prepared with any issues/problems you have with the following ways to tackle the above solutions. Our meetings seem to just be a series of side conversations without much direction, we need direction and focus and we need to have an action planned layed out prior to the meeting (from the forums, emails, phone calls, etc.). Because we don't have enough time in the meeting to determine the best method to do something and then discuss pros/cons of that method. We need to have some ideas on the table so we can pick one, all or none and move on. Please bring something to write with/on and be prepared to discuss club stuff and get something resolved.

My plans of attack to Paul's agenda are;

1. Marketing/Selling Club Swag - Create a new topic board on the forums so people can place orders for coozies and shirts. Cost, pictures, delivery info, payment temrs and order time will be provided. They will just need to place their order (post) and paypal me or mail check. We can then ship out when the goods arrive. I will need help from the shipping side to make this possible, this cannot be a one man show. Too much work.

2. Club Membership - The plan of adding one member at a time is too slow IMO. Bailey is not going this weekend, so we have wasted a 3 month cycle on getting him to a ride and now have no prospective members on the upcoming ride. I think we need to look at 2-3 members at a time, this gives us flexibility when some back out of rides. It also gives them some competition so we can see who is really excited about being a member and who is not.

3. How can we get members to rides? This weekend we are 3 rigs out of 9 (my rig included as missing). Do we need to re-evaulate the purpose of the club as not even half of the members can make a ride that is only 2 hours away? I hope not, as the club was founded on seeing new places and traveling. Do we need to do more due dilligance when picking future members so that we make sure they are going to make rides and be involved. Are people not coming because of lack of funds, other priorities, or lack of committment to the club? If it is cost how can we make travel rides more doable? If it is lack of committment, or preference to ride at other places/or with other people not in the club, how do we solve that problem. How is a trip to Summertown/Wooly's much different than a MMORV ride? They are both neck in neck in terms of cost, but we always get better involvement at MMORV.

Agreed. Just so we're clear, www.hardlineforums.com swag has been abandoned and we're doing HardlineCrawlers.com for everyone? Only the black shirts are our's only and we'll have "member" on them?

Yes. We need more members. A small exclusive club can be like 20 people or more if you ask me. As long as it doesn't become something just anybody with 50 bucks or whatever can get into I'm happy. Myself I've thought of Cole Shirley, Jamie Marsh, Chad Underwood(Big Lunch), and Tim Cameron. All those guys are VERY involved in this sport. Jamie would seem to be the least involved, but I've talked to him and he really has shown an interest in being the most active member he can be and he does do a lot of "other" things for the sport like this world of wheels show.

Yes Ricky the swag would be HardlineCrawlers.com, same logo for all. Members can buy any shirt they want whenever we have new orders, and their shirt will have member on the pocket or sleeve (need to decide). That said we will never offer the black shirts to the public, those will be the Member Only color.

I think most of the people on your member list would make good members (some better than others) and that we should start giving some a chance.

FRT will be the concern, I have a UPS acct setup through Hardline Custom but it isnt really a discounted rate, typically around 6-8 bucks per ups grnd shipment on the tshirt/ hoodie sized stuff.

You might check with Wyatt, he shipped through USPS and it was cheaper. We will have to ship to the out of town guys, which is the largest segment for this order.

There is no way I can ship USPS... Im in the sticks and time wise it would not be worth it for me. ( gas travel time )

I will be working on 3/4/08 so I'll be a no show again.

1.Marketing the club. Not an issue for me. I'll support the decision the club makes.
2.Club membership. I like the one new member at a time but Matt is right start looking
at several at a time. We can always invite one at a time but this is too slow.
3.Participation. Good question. For myself on this ride when it became necessary to
change dates it took me out. I know it can't be helped at times but my work isn't very
flexable and once I schedule a vacation and ask someone to work overtime I will not
be a bitch and change my mind on them. (wasting a vacation day on 2/21 dunno)
We have some good rides planed this year and I'm looking forward to them all.

Got dammit... I just fugged outta makin it, I was gonna spot 10 for James dollars shirts and pay for mine as well ( bringing you 30 ) Ambers Blazer is ****ed up and her and I need to sort **** out.

B check yo emails, ( Matt , Im seeing if he can spot James and I until I can catch him at lunch tommorow or whatever..)

Guys,

As we stated before we have a lot of issues to discuss that are revolve around what I consider the "core" of the club. Members, merchandise, rides, events, etc. Please be prepared to discuss this as soon as we are all done eating and let's focus on it until we reach a decison. We also need to finalize our plans for MMORV. Bring something to write with and I will bring us an agenda.

Please get good notes and clue those missing this one in on the forums if you dont mind. MMORV specifically since its in our near future. thumb.gif
