We are not going to melt. I say let's go unless the weather is severe.

Alright, sounds good to me. Who else is going? Should we meet up somewhere in the morning or just go to the park? :dunno:

I know my Dad is going. Hopefully the Jeep holds together for more than one ride this time!

We are supposed to meet at the park at 8AM. I don't remember if there is a breakfast place at the 299 other then a Mcdonalds.

So it's Myself, John and Captain Small Tires? Anyone else?

Yeah, I'll be there. I have it on a qualified recommendation that a truck stop at that exit has a great buffet and breakfast. Let me know if y'all want to meet there. Do we need to adjust arrival time to earlier to accomodate eating.

How did this ride go? do you have pics? I have my junk getting closer to being ready to wheel again soon.

Very nice facility without a doubt. Trails are marked unbelievably good, signs everywhere. I like the idea of the '"call boxes" at various areas in case of emergency. Trails were easy with a few soft hill climbs that got pretty hairy. But overall had a great time and would go back again when not so F'in hot and maybe with a little rain, make it a bit more challenging. Good day John and Rich and even Chasman got some seat time. :driving: :dblthumb:

So was there anything there that was hard? I have heard that it is mostly an ATV/UTV place?

There are some that will get very hard with more traffic. Would not be a destination park for our level of riding. But, the nicest part I have ever been to. Best signage, best checkin. Everything is first class. They will have full RV hookups in the Spring. There are a lot of ATV only trails, but also a lot of jeep only trails. Some connector roads are all traffic. Only downside I saw is there are a LOT of one way trails, which makes getting around the park going the correct way a challenge. Or maybe our navigator (Rich) just likes going the wrong way. I loved the picnic tables everywhere, call boxes and helicopter landing zones. You could buy towing insurance for $5 at check in. Or without insurance, they would come get you out and back to your trailer for $35. Would be a great park when cooler for a "Ladies Ride" where the men only pull them on and off the trailer. We have done this at Tellico and the women like being in charge.

Very nice. That's the kind of set up you get when you are a government owned facility. I would love for one of the Georgia Counties to do something like this. I think they believe we have become to sophisticated for that type of nonsense around here.

But the little guy wearing his wife's tight little bicycle shorts and skin tight shirt can get a concrete path that covers more than 6 counties to ride on, and then they still give him the right to ride his bicycle in front of me on a busy road backing up traffic for miles. :puke:

Oh well I got to get off of that subject. I set out to become a better Christian this year. :dblthumb:
