anyone going to Harlan that weekend? we have a group of guys going and we are staying on the Evarts side in a rental house across from the Chevron....thanks to ZukiScott for the heads up on that place, the owner seems cool as hell. Looking forward to gettin on the trail!! should be a good time

Brian

Yes Brian ,Lupe is VERY cool ,yall will enjoy that rental house FO SHO , we did :****:

Can,t make it up that weekend, yall go give it HELL :dblthumb:

Never been up that way, but would really like to make it up there...

whats the details on the rental houses?

Jrich you need to go check it out. Rental houses are about $100 or so a night. You will want to get at least 4 people for most of em as they should sleep that many if not more. Nothing fancy, this is Harlan we are talking about but better than stay in town at a hotel since it is a good 20 min drive to the trail from town. These houses are mostly right near the trailhead, so 2-3 minutes to the trails and no towing.

Jrich, you are more than welcome to come ride with us. it will be a good time fo sho. the rental house we have is good for 10 peeps from what the owner said.....not sure if we have that many people staying there or not. I will have to find out. we might be able to make some room....

I'll be there that weekend with some other guys from all over. We are staying in the sites under the willow tree at the Evarts campground

Cool, maybe we will see ya on the trail. This time I want to run some trails I haven't been on or been a while since I hit them. Been to upper middle, lower rock garden, big perm, lower damnation, rail bed, mason jar, lots of trails in between. What are some other good trails to hit?
Lions den for sure, heard about white tail? Little jagger. I know there are a ton more.

Brian

Yeah I'm sure we'll see you guys on the trail. We were up there two weeks ago and the trails are a lot of fun right now. Wasn't that wet but a lot of the trails have changed.

Lower Damnation is starting to get dug out again and Little Jagger is a new favorite. White tail has a huge rock right in the middle of it that has changed it a lot. Lions Den is the same as always except the entrance is slightly harder than it used to be.

Besides your list there's crawford's cry, grapevine, killin time (easier but right at the end of lower rock garden), your turn, fish fossil, a trail called TROUBLE that I still have not run, and of course the hillclimbs- creampuff, tailgate, underestimated. and I'm sure more I can't remember...

the last time we were there lower damnation might as well have been paved, but I still managed to break a damn lockout on it...LOL
I know where creampuff and tailgate are, not sure about underestimated. I wont do tail gate, that hill was insane.... I will have to try and find a few of those others, I have heard of some of them, but no idea where they are. killin time is a fairly new trail right?

I think killin time was around a while ago but it had dirt piled in front of it until sometime last year.

Underestimated is off to the left at the first clearing on the road out to white tail. It starts at the same place as Your Turn...

ya, we talked with a local guy the last time we were there about some of the new trails. he was saying they have been working on quite a few new ones along with re-opening some others. :driving:
