Anyone know of a good machine shop,I was replacing the header gaskets and when the headers were out I could see up into the heads and a couple of the valves were wet looking:wtf: Any thoughts? carb leaking by?valve seats? also think I may have a cross threaded spark plug on the opposite head.Did notice the last couple times starting it was loaded up (flooded)and took a minute to clear out which it never used to do.It would start right up but run really rich for a minute until cleared? chevy 350

Is it carbureted? Sounds like it could possible have a leaking needle and seat assembly.

If thats the case since its the exhaust valve then the combustion chamber is full of fuel and will result in hydro locking.

Sounds like oil getting down the valve guides. If its not smoking (blueish) or using any amount of oil I would not be concerned with it..

yes its a carb.Just a little smoke on start up until cleared.Once it fires up it runs real rich if i rev it up a few times it clears itself out with just a little smoke?:puke:

I have a pair of camel humps that DONT need rebuilt.

They are 2.02s and have badass springs, retainers, valves and hardened seats 7/16ths screw in studs and comp cams guide plates.. $600.
I also have a set aluminum Edelbrock roller rockers too, $100
