where is a good place local to buy them. the ones i get from the manufactor of my trac bar don't seem to last that long.
what would be a good brand or type to get.
this is for a front track bar on a tj. somewhere in the north end.

I had a bunch overnighted to Canada and it was only 11 bucks.
You can get ANY size imaginable, and good quality ones. (basically design what you want and they'll have it in stock)
My rear links have been on for 3 years and ares till good.

If your heims aren't lasting in your track bar perhaps you need to look at your geometry to figure out why you are wearing out the heims so quickly.

I was having a problem with the heims on my Trac bar. But they were only in single shear. Once I rebuilt the bracket to put them in double shear it solved the problem.

RE sells a bracket for it, or you can just look at thier design and build your own for less than $10 in scrap steel.

mine are the same thing ,single shear. never have liked that way.
will also check the geomentry again .

robin mine are 3/4x3/4 r/h

Just my humble opinion: Get rid of the heim joint.

Put in a Rubicon Express super flex joint or something similar. In the front of a TJ the track bar is very sensitive to slop (As you have probably found out) as little as .06"-.08" slop and you will have the shimmy-shimmy-shake.

Every time I see track bars (or suspension linkage) sold for street rigs using Heim joints I want to kick some designers ass.

that was another think that i was think of doing, well not the way you put it, i was thinking of replacing the whole track bar with one without a heim.
