My buddy is trying to find the old flattie that he grew up in and helped build with his dad. It was sold about 10 or more years back to someone living in the washington area. It came from South Dakota and was still bright yellow at that time. Im just trying to help a good friend see if he can locate the old jeep. Thanks for any info you might have! Garrett

Does his dad have the VIN?
If so, Washington State DMV has a form, which can be filed that will provide the last registered owner's name and address. You gotta jump thru some hoops. Or, if you know a cop or dmv employee, you might get lucky.
I can also try Carfax / Autocheck. Don't know if a pre-1980 Vin will work, but I'd be willing to try.
And lastly, that's a sweeeet ol'school jeep.
