Saw an axle in a yard today. FS frame, about 70" wms-wms, 12 bolt cover, 5x5.5 bolt pattern, disk brakes, around 3.73 gearing w/ locker/ls. Axle still had stickers on it and looked brand new.
On the Diff webbing there was a circle w/ a 7 in it.
Tag showed:
V941 A L55
975 2C28
I think its a Ford 9.75 w/ LS but I cant decipher the coding.
Deciding whether I should get it for the wifes jeep.
PS - I saw 2 ford 205's, 1 chevy 205, and 2 203's, several SRW FF/SF D60's and 70's. There was also a Ford 5.0 HO V8. This is the same yard I got my D44 flat-top knuckles from.
