So does the noise go away with the belt off?

Can you make it happen in the driveway while parked? i.e. Is it solely related to engine speed?

When you say squeak, do you mean a squeal (like an old belt) or a squeak (like a bad bearing)?

What kinda "jeep"? Do you have an idler pulley?

Ahhh shat,time to throw it away and buy a toyota.:D

Or at the very least, time to get it fixed now before it blows up and takes out a bunch of sensors with it. Silly jeep and their non-coolant-proof electricals. Can you tell I'm speaking from personal experience? :mad:

I am starting to think it could be the bearings. as far as the yota/ I could never own a yota. now I could throw yota axles under but never get a yota.

wont happen until 30 mph but after a while on the road it goes away. it only seams to happen on a cooler day

more info needed , is it engine speed or wheel speed can it be duplicatied standing still? U joints?Belt off? Turning or stright Front or rear of vechicle?

seams to be front it wont happen at high rpms in the drive way. I am worried it is the bearings. I thought it was the brake pads but they have alot left to go. How much would it cost to do the bearings if that is what it is?

So are you saying you have to be moving for the noise to happen?

So its nothing in the motor if its coming from the front of the rig.

Pic a hub bearing and replace it :;

have you checked for any slop in the hubs?
