i'm doing brakes on my truck, 86 toyota pickup, SAS'd using an 83 front axle and trail gears SAS kit. i'm trying to replace my rotors but i cant find any that match. i think i remember hearing that the rotors are FJ80 rotors, but i dont know. they're six lug, with 2 extra holes to bolt the rotor to the hub. i've tried '86, '83, '93, all the same PN. anyone got any help? i'm stuck at my shop in everett until i can get this done, and parts houses are closing. please help!

Vented or non vented rotors?

Ok if they are vented you need rotors off a 81 and up land cruiser...

This is assuming you don't have the IFS rotor/hub conversion(then you use IFS rotors)...

So you ran into the issue of needing either 12 hole rotors or 8 hole... Either way all you have to do is punch the studs out of a hub, lay the old rotor on top of the new one and drill the holes... The rotor is held and centered by the wheel studs more than the bolts so no worries there.

the rotors i keep getting are all spaced wrong. and they're 8 hole rotors. i got a set coming from carquest, if these arent it i'll have to re-use my old ones, cause i wont be able to get any more today.

just ordered a set for an 85 landcruiser. i did use my IFS hubs, but for some reason none of the rotors i have for an 86 toyota pickup are 8 hole, and i've tried olympic brake, napa, and APD. hopefully these carquest ones will do it.

So you keep getting vented rotors that have too deep of a "hat" right? The ifs rotors are about 1/2" taller than the solid axle version. To avoid any issue with years etc I just buy them for a 76 fj-40. Direct bolt on for a mini with the correct offset.

The ones you ordered for a fj-40 should bolt right on. All of the cruisers up to from 76-97 (that I can be sure of) are a direct bolt on for mini's.
